Relief of stress during installation of plastic-coated hoses In many cases, rubber, which can greatly improve the working ability of metal hoses, is covered on the embedded part to relieve the load. The bending resistance of the metal hose is expressed by the number of bending times before failure. This number is related to corrugation wall thickness, wave pitch, wave height and radius, as well as bend radius, internal pressure and hose diameter. The bending of the hose is caused by the deformation of the peaks and valleys of the wave pattern, when the gap between the two adjacent corrugations decreases in the inner profile and increases in the outer profile. The smaller the wall thickness and wave distance of the hose, the larger the wave height and bending radius, the more bending times it can withstand without damage.
