October 14, 2021 is China’s Double Ninth Festival. The Double Ninth Festival is a traditional Chinese folk festival. The festival is on the 9th day of the ninth lunar month. In ancient times, the folks used to climb high (climbing festival) to pray for blessing, travel in autumn to appreciate chrysanthemums, worship gods and worship ancestors (ancestor worship festival), and drink banquets to pray for longevity.
It has been passed down to this day, and the connotation of respect for the elderly has been added (Respect for the Aged Day), and a banquet will be held on the day of Double Ninth Festival to be grateful and respect the elderly.
