Industry concentration continues to increase
At present, the national plastic pipe production capacity has reached 30 million tons. There are more than 3,000 large-scale plastic pipe manufacturers with an annual production capacity of more than 15 million tons. Among them, there are about 300 companies with an annual production capacity of more than 10,000 tons. There are more than 20 companies with an annual production capacity of more than 100,000 tons. The concentration of the plastic pipe industry is getting higher and higher, and the sales volume of the top 20 has reached more than 40% of the total industry.
Production areas are mainly concentrated in coastal areas, and the center of gravity continues to expand inland. Plastic pipe companies are mainly concentrated in economically developed coastal areas.
At present, large-scale production enterprises are mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Shandong. The total production capacity and output of the three places is close to half of the national total. Affected by the shift of regional development focus and local demand, production capacity investment has begun to shift to the inland and northern regions in recent years. It is expected that the proportion of output in the southwest, northwest and northeast regions will gradually increase.
