How Brass Ball Valves Work
The multi-port ball valve can not only flexibly control the confluence, diversion and switching of the flow direction of the medium on the pipeline, but also can close any channel and connect the other two channels. This type of ball valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.
Temperature of Brass Ball Valves
The nameplate shows the maximum allowable operating pressure for the ball valve at the maximum and minimum operating temperatures.
Seats and seals made of PTFE or RTFE are used. The operating temperature of other types of seats and seals should be checked by the KI factory.
The nominal pressure rating (PN) of the valve indicates the maximum working pressure of the valve under normal temperature conditions. (For example: PN4.0, indicating that its maximum working pressure is 40 Bar (4.0MPa) when its operating temperature is -290C ~ 380C).

Operation and Use of Brass Ball Valves
(1) Before operation, make sure that the pipeline and valve have been flushed.
(2) The operation of the valve is completed by driving the valve stem to rotate according to the size of the input signal of the actuator: when it rotates 1/4 turn (90°) in the forward direction, the valve is turned off. The valve opens when reversed by 1/4 turn (90°).
(3) When the direction indicating arrow of the actuator is parallel to the pipeline, the ball valve is open; when the indicating arrow is perpendicular to the pipeline, the ball valve is closed.
