Product Information:

PEX Pipe Elbow is a sealed pipe joint suitable for oil, water, gas and other non-corrosive or corrosive media. The specifications of aluminum-plastic pipes are relatively flexible. After being connected to the pipeline, it has the characteristics of reliable connection and good sealing performance.

Common types of metal pipe joints are as follows:

External thread joint: Mainly used for connection between the local junction box and the hose. Open a hole in the in-situ box, insert the connector, and fix it with a lock nut.

Internal thread joint: mainly used for threaded connection of cable tube and hose.

Card sleeve joint: It is mainly used for the connection of metal hose and steel pipe. The installation of the card sleeve joint does not need to thread the pipe on the steel pipe. The joint is at the end of the steel pipe.

Plug-in joints: mainly used for pre-embedded pipes with small dense gaps, inserted into the inner diameter of the steel pipe, and easy to install.

Reducer joints: mainly used in the case of inconsistent diameters of steel pipes and metal hoses, which can be arbitrarily enlarged or reduced according to site installation requirements.

The working principle of PEX Pipe Elbow series pipe joints:

The PEX Pipe Elbow series pipe joint is a mechanical device used to seal and tighten the pipe material. The mechanical advantages and geometry of the joint make the mechanical device a leak-proof seal assembly. When assembling the joint assembly, you only need to insert the catheter into a complete assembly, and when the tube reaches the bottom, it touches the shoulder of the joint body. When rotating the ferrule nut in a clockwise direction, the mechanical thrust generated pushes the two ferrules of the joint assembly forward between the ferrule nut and the joint body. The mechanical thrust pushes the rear ferrule against the tapered back of the front ferrule, and at the same time, the thrust pushes the front ferrule into the tapered tapered opening of the joint body. The rear ferrule is squeezed onto the pipe by the inward radial force. At this time, the front ferrule is drawn out to form a full-surface seal on the tapered tapered surface of the joint body. When you feel that it has been tightened by rotating it by hand, turn the ferrule nut another 1-1/4 turns from the manually tightened position to ensure that the thrust of the seal is even. In this way, it can be ensured that an effective sealing effect can still be obtained in a high-pressure and ultra-high vacuum environment.

Catheter cutting:

Two different methods can be used to cut the catheter: cutting knife cutting and bow saw (hacksaw) cutting:

In order to prevent leakage of the connection at the joint, the incision of the catheter must be straight. It is recommended to use a high-quality tube cutter. The blade of the tube cutter should be compatible with the material of the catheter to be cut.

Do not cut deep cuts of each circle of the pipe cutter in order to shorten the cutting time. Doing so will cause work hardening of the catheter.

The burrs on the end of the pipe must be cleaned to avoid damage to the pipe joint. At the same time, doing so can ensure that the pipe can reach the bottom of the joint.

When using a hacksaw (hacksaw) to cut the pipe, if you want to get a straight pipe end, you must use a hacksaw guide block. This cutting method requires cleaning the burrs on the end of the pipe.

Warning: Do not use a vise to hold the part where the catheter will be inserted into the joint (the vise will cause a scar on the catheter, which may cause leakage, and may also make the catheter oval).
