PPR water pipe color
Different colors of PPR use the same base material, but different color masterbatches are added during the production process according to customer preferences or habits, so different colors do not represent quality. However, in order to prevent secondary pollution of water quality in water pipes by light, we usually choose water pipes with better light resistance. IFAN PPR pipe uses PPR particles fused with masterbatch, which has good light resistance.
The difference between PPR cold and hot water pipes
The base materials used for PPR hot water pipes and cold water pipes are exactly the same, and the hot and cold water pipes are divided into different specifications according to the temperature of the water that can be transported when the pipes of different specifications are used. Due to the higher requirements for the pipes that transport hot water, the wall thickness of the hot water pipes with the same nominal pressure is thicker than that of the cold water pipes. To make it easy to distinguish, the hot water pipe has a red co-extrusion strip, while the cold water pipe does not.
Pressure and water pipes
PN in the pipeline spray specification represents the nominal pressure in MPa. The wall thickness of the pipe varies with different nominal pressures. When selecting a pipeline, it should be ensured that the nominal pressure of the pipeline is not lower than the water pressure of tap water.
Pressure test
Inject water into the pipeline, completely discharge the air in the pipeline, raise the pressure to the test pressure with a booster pump, repressurize to the test pressure every 10 minutes, and repeat twice. Record the pressure 10 minutes and 40 minutes after the last pumping, the pressure difference must not exceed 0.06 MPa. After 2 hours, the pressure drop shall not exceed 0.02 MPa.
