CPVC (PVC-C) is the chlorination product of PVC, which is the chlorination modification of polyvinyl chloride. The modified PVC can achieve two different purposes:

One is to increase the thermal deformation temperature, increase rigidity, improve chemical stability, improve weather resistance and flame retardancy, and reduce smoke density. This product is usually used to make products for occasions with special requirements;

The second is to improve the solubility of the material. This product, commonly known as vinyl perchloride, is mainly used in the production of adhesives, coatings and polyvinyl chloride fibers. The chlorination method of CPVC is an aqueous suspension (slurry) chlorination method. Its molecular structure is: -CHCI-CHCI-CH2-CHCI-

The performance of CPVC is determined by two factors: the content of chlorine and the distribution of chlorine in the molecular chain of CPVC. Therefore, CPVC with the same chlorine content will have a large performance difference due to the different distribution of chlorine atoms.
