Must be oxygen-barrier PEX (e.g., PEX-AL-PEX) for heating systems to prevent metal corrosion.
Direct Burial in Soil:
Acceptable for potable water lines and irrigation if:
Soil is non-corrosive (neutral pH, no sharp rocks).
Burial depth is below the local frost line (typically 12–36 inches).
