PP-R pipes are mainly used for hot and cold water pipes, and are mainly connected by hot melt technology, so you must pay attention when connecting to prevent the risk of leakage in the pipeline.

PPR Pipes

PP-R pipe hot melt connection steps:

Turn on the power of the hot melt tool first, and when it reaches the working temperature, that is, when the indicator light turns green, you can start working;

Cut the pipe so that the end face is perpendicular to the axis. Pipe cutters or pipe cutters are usually used for pipe cutting. After cutting, the pipe section must be free of burrs and burrs;

The connecting end surface of the pipe and the pipe fittings must be clean, dry and free of oil stains.

When welding elbows or tees, it is necessary to follow the requirements of the design drawings and pay attention to its direction. In the straight line direction of the pipes and fittings, use auxiliary signs to mark their positions;

After the specified heating time is reached, the pipes and fittings should be quickly inserted to the depth of the mark in a straight line, so that a uniform flange is formed around the connection, and the pipes and fittings are completely melted into one.

Precautions for PP-R pipe hot melt connection:

When the PP-R pipe is welded, the temperature is too high or too low, the heating time is too long, and the pipe connection is unevenly heated, which will cause insufficient interface strength, which will directly affect the welding effect of the pipe. Therefore, pay attention to the heating temperature and comply with it during welding. heating time.

The PP-R pipe has debris or dampness, which will produce pores during welding or directly cause the pipe to fail to be fully integrated. Wipe the welding part of the pipe and the fitting before welding, and pay attention to clean it after welding.

When the PP-R pipe is welded, pay attention to the end of the pipe being cut at a right angle. If the end of the pipe is not at a right angle, it may cause the partial plane to be unable to be completely joined and an angle deviation may occur.
