At present, floor heating is the main heating method for many families. Central heating is the main heating method in the north of my country, and household heating is the main heating method in the south. In the process of using floor heating, it often happens that the return water of floor heating is not hot. What is causing this, and how to solve these problems?

One reason: the floor heating coil exceeds the design length

At the beginning of the design, floor heating has requirements for the length of a single circuit floor heating coil. The length of the floor heating coil with a diameter of 16mm cannot exceed 120 meters. Generally, the floor heating coil retains up to 9 circuits in the manifold. If the length of a single loop floor heating coil is too long, then according to the standard construction of the floor heating coil density, the temperature of the return water from the floor heating coil to the manifold will be too low, resulting in the return water not being hot.

Solution: For the floor heating site that has not yet been constructed, the floor heating coil shall be constructed in strict accordance with the design standards, not exceeding 120 meters, usually between 90-110 meters; if the construction has been completed, the length of many loops of the floor heating coil exceeds 120 meters , Can increase the temperature and flow rate of the water supply of the floor heating, thereby increasing the heat dissipation of the floor heating, and the return water of the floor heating will also increase.

Reason two: the power of the wall-hung boiler is too small

Each wall-hung boiler has a corresponding heating area limit. For example, a common 24-kilowatt wall-hung boiler. The heating area is mostly used in 80-230 square meters (less than 80 square meters is also possible), but in order to meet the demand for domestic hot water, usually It can only be used in units within 150-200 square meters. If the power of the wall-hung boiler used is too low, it will inevitably fail to meet the heating demand of the indoor heating area, and the return water of the floor heating coil is prone to not be hot.
