Most of the PEX pipes use mechanical copper fittings. According to the structure of copper pipe fittings, it can be mainly divided into nut ferrule type, clamping type and reaming push type pipe fittings. The nut ferrule type is mainly connected by the rotation of the nut, and an open C-ring is compressed. The C-ring is continuously closed with the tightening of the nut, and the pipe and the core of the pipe are compressed to realize the connection. Its main feature is that it is easy to install and disassemble, and easy to maintain. No special tools are required for installation. The disadvantage is that if the nut is not tightened, there will be leakage. When installing the clamp-pressed pipe fitting, first put the stainless steel sleeve or copper ring on the pipe, and then insert the core of the pipe fitting into the pipe. Press the stainless steel sleeve or copper ring with a pinch tool to make the stainless steel or copper ring plastically deform permanently, and the pipe and the pipe core are crimped together. The crimping pipe fittings are tightly connected and not easy to leak water. Using tools for crimping, the connection is relatively reliable, and it is not easy to disassemble and maintain. For reaming push-type pipe fittings, when installing, firstly press the pipe fitting into one end of the pipe, use the reaming tool to ream the pipe, insert the core of the pipe fitting into the pipe, and then use the pushing tool to push the pipe fitting to the bottom of the core. Push-type pipe fittings are very reliable in sealing. Due to the expansion of the pipe, the diameter of the pipe is small and the pressure loss is small. However, the installation requires two special installation tools, and the cost of the pipe fittings is relatively high. It is difficult to disassemble and repair the pipe fittings. PEX pipes for floor heating are generally connected to the sub and water collectors by nut ferrule type pipe fittings. The nut ferrule type pipe fittings are easy to install and disassemble, and easy to maintain. No matter which connection method is used, ensure that the pipe is tightened so that there is no possibility of leakage. Various connection methods have various advantages and can be selected as needed.
